Why did Titanic Sank?

When this question is asked, all of sing a chorus ‘because it hit an ice berg’.. True… Very true… Because,  I too sang the same, in my class, when Chandu sir asked this question. But the root cause lies in. Analyzing the root cause of a problem is the best way to eliminate the problem. But, all of us search solutions, which could solve the consequences and solve further damage of the problem, but not the source. For this we can analyze the example of titanic.

Seem to be a bit funny. But it’s the true way of solving a problem. And if we think about the example with a little more concentration, I’m sure you’ll get a smile on your face and a glowing bulb in your head.  Hitting an iceberg, is one of the cause but not the root cause. We have many other causes which led to the disaster.
When we analyze a problem, like in the above hierarchy, we will find the source of the problem, and definitely, solving the source of the problem, solves the entire effect of the problem.
Simply, its like treating a fever that is caused by a wound. The wound should be treated first to get down fever. But all of us, treats fever and its symptoms with a couple of Crocin Tablets, which solves the problem temporarily, but the wound gets septic. If we treat the wound, fever never turn up again.
I, got really happy after hearing this analysis. Because, this best way of solving a problem, makes us a bit conscious and appropriate. The deep rooted causes of a problem can be easily identified. And more over, our decisions never go wrong.
And coming to the titanic issue, Speed of Titanic is the root cause of disaster. Because, titanic crew was warned an hour before the disaster, about the presence of the ice berg in Atlantic. But the ship continued its high speed. This was revealed by the Investigation committee. And also, this helped in the future navigation of the ships through icebergs.
The process of finding the root cause of a problem also reveals several other problems which are to be solved and are associated with the main source. Solving all this, gives a lot of answers and clear sky.
The deep root of the problem should be plucked out, but most of us trim the leaves and gets satisfied, thinking the problem is solved. Pluck the roots first, the leaves dries off themselves.

Life is always Good.
